“I work in the Strategic Asset Management team within Development Services at our office in Southgate, London.
“My role is interesting, varied and challenging all of which keeps me motivated and enthusiastic about building more homes.
“I project manage the redevelopment of homes, from the very beginning of the project right through until we hand over to the Delivery team. This involves many stages such as identifying any constraints and important considerations relating to the project, obtaining grant funding from local authorities / Homes England, and assessing the scheme’s viability. I submit applications for planning, prepare tender packages and go out to tender.
“I also manage external enquiries which can be anything from a request to purchase land to confirmation of ownership of a boundary wall.
“The external environment does present some challenges – the planning process is detailed and lengthy and it requires a good working relationship with Local Planning Authorities to keep applications on track. Ensuring our developments remain financially viable is key.
“I like working here because my colleagues are committed to making a positive difference to people’s lives and we offer a broad range of products and services to customers. There are lots of personal development opportunities.”
