Your at-a-glance update on the regeneration programme.

Clapham Park is Metropolitan’s flagship regeneration scheme. This large estate, covering around 36 hectares, was transferred from Lambeth Council following a resident ballot in 2005. By the time the physical regeneration is completed in 2025 there will be well in excess of 3,200 homes on the estate, made up of a combination of refurbished and new build homes for rent, shared ownership and outright sale.

Work is now picking up pace. We have already delivered 490 new homes (find out more) and refurbished well in excess of 500 and, by the time the development programme is completed in 2024, all secure tenants will be living in either a refurbished or brand new home.

With major refurbishment work completed in properties in the New Park Road and Tilson Gardens area, we are now preparing for the next phase of the regeneration programme: demolishing empty blocks so that we can get on-site to start the next phase of the new build programme. The planning proposals for a two form entry primary school with 36 flats on the upper floors on New Park Road were held at Lambeth Planning Committee on 29 November 2016. Lambeth Council resolved to grant planning permission for the scheme. The two form primary school will be an extension to the existing Telferscot School on Radbourne Road. It is hoped that the planning permissions will be formalised in January 2017.

Allen Build are on site at Bourke Close to build 20 new 3 and 5 bedroom houses for private sale.

Demolition complete at Aspinall House and Parsons House.

Light refurbishment completed at Cotton House, Angus House, Crossman House and Currie House.

Kind Construction are on site at Forster Road (the Thorold House site) to build 21 new 1, 2 and 3 bedroom flats.

Higgins Construction on site in King’s Avenue. Preparing the ground for the building of over 200 homes and a new nursery.
