We’re launching a fantastic new professional development opportunity, open to all black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) residents.

In the UK, people from BAME backgrounds are significantly underrepresented at board level. Our ‘Black on Board’ training programme aims to redress the balance!

Through the programme, BAME residents will be offered training to help them become an effective board member of the future. Participants will gain plenty of transferable professional skills, along with the confidence to operate at board level in any type of organisation. You don’t need any previous experience, just the desire to be a member of a board and the ability to communicate effectively, make decisions and work as a member of a team.

The programme starts on 20 September and you will need to attend 12 full day training sessions for six months.

If you’d like to apply, you’ll need to complete and return the application form by Sunday 29 July. You’ll also need to provide details of a professional referee by completing the referral form.
