Warm Homes Discount – could you save money on bills?

Many electricity and gas suppliers offer a Warm Homes Discount to customers who meet certain criteria, which could save you around £130 per year.

If you fit any of the following criteria, speak to your electricity supplier directly to see if you qualify, but make sure you do it soon as the deadline is mid-August:

• You are aged 80 or over and are receiving the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit
• You are eligible for child tax credit
• You receive income support, job seekers allowance or income related employment and support allowance
• You live with a child under 5 years old
