Cantley Close in Derby comprises 73 sheltered properties. Accommodation is provided mainly in flats, although there are also a number of bungalows for residents with disabilities.
The main building has 37 flats, with the rest of the homes around the close. Most of the residents in the main block are over 55, although we can house younger people if they receive disability living allowance and have a support package in place. The other homes provide accommodation for people over 40 who don’t necessarily have current support needs, although they can opt into support at a later stage.
There are two full time scheme managers on-site from 8.00 am – 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday. There is an active residents’ social committee, with the residents enjoying, bingo, coffee mornings, Sunday lunches, trips out and other activities.
