The new Metropolitan brand is being officially launched today by the former Metropolitan Housing Partnership. This new look symbolises the integration of its services which operate across London, East Midlands and the East of England, and the move to brand them under one name.
The brand is part of the changes the organisation is making to improve services and to become more efficient and competitive. The work to centralise services is already well underway with an integrated customer services centre already in operation in Nottingham and plans in place to establish a central anti-social behaviour team. More information about these services is available on the new Metropolitan web site www.metropolitan.org.uk which is also being launched today.
Interim Chief Executive of Metropolitan, Peter Cleland, said: “It’s important that we continue to find ways to deliver better services. The move to operate under one name presents an opportunity to really define who we are and what we do, and have more of an impact on our communities.”
Mary Dowling, Head of Communications, Metropolitan added: “The new name and look was developed in consultation with our staff and customers and a number of focus groups were held to discuss Metropolitan’s values and vision and how they should be reflected in the brand. We will be continuing the dialogue with our customers and encourage as many people as possible to visit the new website to find out more about what we do.”
The new brand represents the consolidation of the Partnership’s six member organisations which means that former social landlords Spirita, Metropolitan Housing Trust (London) and Granta Housing Society, are now all known as Metropolitan.
