Leaseholders’ Insurance Claims

In the event of an emergency please download our ‘How to claim and get help in an emergency‘ leaflet and contact the insurer on the number shown.

If it is not an emergency we ask that you complete the e-claim form below. Please complete as much of section 1 as you can and if applicable all the remaining fields on the form. We ask that you read the Leasehold Summary of Cover before sending the claim to ensure that the damage being claimed for has been caused by one of the insured perils listed.

Please send completed claim forms by email to Zurich Municipal with the policy number JHA-22S162-0013 as the subject heading. Alternatively, you can post this to the address below

Zurich Municipal
Property Claims Unit
PO BOX 108
Farnborough

Zurich will respond to you directly within 72 hours of receiving the claim, this timescale will depend on the urgency of the claim.

Zurich offers an approved repairer service available for most losses. If you wish for an approved repairer to be sent to your property please state this in your e mail when sending the claim, that way you will not need to obtain estimates. Please note of you choose this option the £100 excess will be payable to the repairer service as the work starts

Please note as per the summary of cover and correspondence to all leaseholders during the most recent tender process that there is a £100 excess per claim and £1,000 for any subsidence claim (industry standard).

If Metropolitan is not the freeholder your property may not be insured through this policy. Our insurers hold a list of all properties insured under the policy. If a query is raised and you are not insured under MHP’s policy we will contact you accordingly

If there is any damage to the contents of your property please notify your contents insurance provider also. If you do not have contents insurance we have arranged a very competitive contents insurance scheme which is only available to our tenants and leaseholders.
