Regeneration and Development
When we set up Metropolitan in 1957, our aim was to provide good quality, affordable housing for those most in need. Fifty years on and we may have grown, but our goals haven’t changed.
We are proud of the impact we have had, improving life by transforming neighbourhoods and investing in communities.
We involve local people in all of the big decisions; those that affect their homes as well as the broader social and economic issues they face.
Some of our key regeneration schemes include:
We work hard to meet the growing demand for good quality new homes. We have the expertise and capacity to develop a wide-ranging programme of development including:
- mixed tenure developments of high and medium density
- redevelopment of low density sites
- change of use of unneeded industrial land
- redevelopment in town centres
- mixed economy developments
We develops new homes in London, the east of England region, M1 and M11 corridors, the South Midlands and the East Midlands region.
